Technorati. and other stuff

Just started a Technorati account, no particular reason just influenced by atariboy. It also seems like a cool way maybe to gain more views at my view of the world and my abstract thoughts, doubt that it will work though. I am currently residing at 1,106,923 place out of alll of the blogs ^^.

Just had a clan match >FT and I have to say it was one of the most blatant uses of cheating I have ever seen in my life ! We were using their server as we dont own one, but for any cs players out there how is it possible to get from CT spawn to T spawn in 4 seconds on dust 2 I will never know. And to make it worse they denied they were cheating. This one incident has put me off of CS for a while and I am really looking forward to the imminent arrival of HL2 so I can try DOD source which has been recommended so highly by a multitude of people.

I have uncovered a new found urge to do well in life and in college from somewhere and have promptly written a revision plan for my AS levels and I plan on sticking to it! I expect though that all drive will drop off in a couple of days though and I will go back to being lazy again. God there are some things that you hate about yourself but you are never able to chenge eh.

What have mario and pacman got in common?

Pacman and Mario are two classic games that have been out for what seems for ever. But have you ever stopped to think what these games promote to young children who play them??.

For instance in Mario you get a ‘magic’ mushroom and all of a sudden you become Super Mario capable of doing anything! does this imply that if you take magic mushroom’s in real life you will become all powerful and everyone should bow down before your mighty prowess??

Same thing in Pac-man, you go around a maze popping small pills all the while being constantly tracked down by a small army of ghosts, and when they get too close you pop a super pill and suddenly you are invincible! and you are on top of the world able to rack up a high score and destroy those pesky ghosts (temporarily). But just as in real life suddenly the pills effect dissapears and you are left craving more as those ghosts get ever closer. Just like a real drug addiction in game.

So just using these as examples, these two individual games have said ;

1.) use drugs, they are a handy tool when being chased by ghosts.

2.)Magic mushrooms make you big and strong.

3.)You can have fun while using them.

4.)you need them to achieve a high score ^^

Or is it me just looking for meaning in places which dont actually have a meaning?

A threat to the world

Discovered this book via amazon today and have promptly placed an order as It looks like a great read, and is bound to get me drilled in what to do when a microwave starts firing ‘micro’ waves at me and killing me from the inside. You can find the book here.

In the middle of downloading via uTorrent(which was suggested by andrew yesterday) at the moment and cant wait for it to finish. And I would just like to say that uTorrent is a great torrent client to use (so thanks for the suggestion )

Having a relatively easy day today at college, just double chemistry and Biology, and dont really have much to worry about as I have finished all of my work up to date so will have the weekend free……time to level my warrior Baksh up on world of warcraft then (on Drak’Thul if anyone wants to add)

Geek, in a closet…

This is possibly the best podcast ever. end of. Hosted by the one Brent Morris, he transports you through all types of music (metal to trance) all the while in between tracks he ramble’s on about what’s intresting him at the moment, be it star trek or the classic fallout games. Boredom sets in…I know i’ll boot up adobe photochop cs and work it out on there. And here is my pointless end product….Have no idea why I chose tom3 though as a name though, thanks to andrew (http://atariboy.wordpress.com/) I reckon.

On another note Meebo allows you to access msn messenger in college, which can be treatment to the wounds that many a long and boring free period can cause you.
